I’m Tuca, nice to meet you!
I’m a UX/UI Designer from Brazil and I’ve been traveling down this road since 2021, but before that, I’d already had been working as a Graphic Designer since 2019.
My life has always revolved around creative work. Be that as a child drawing on every possible surface I could find, or as teenager balancing three high school bands at once, and even as a teacher during college, coming up with compeling ways of making kids be interested in history and grammar.
Although I loved my time as a teacher and historian, creative work always pulled me back in, so in 2019 I started working again as a freelance graphic designer while finishing college, and during the COVID lockdown, I dedicated myself to learn the ins and outs of UX/UI Design and Front-End languages such as HTML and CSS.
Today I dedicate myself fully to design work, putting all the knowledge and skills I’ve honed through years of practice across multiple disciplines, to become a designer who creates not only data driven interfaces, but empathetic driven experiences.

UX/UI Designer
As part of the Solo Media Group team, I design digital experiences for a variety of e-commerce brands and Shopify applications. My work spans the entire design process, from understanding business requirements and user needs to creating wireframes, high-fidelity interfaces and production-ready assets.
Working closely with developers and other stakeholders, I focus on building responsive, conversion-oriented experiences that are both visually engaging and easy to maintain. Each project requires balancing business goals with usability, ensuring every interface supports both the client and the end user.

Web Designer/UI Designer
At UENI, I designed websites for small businesses across the United States and the United Kingdom, helping entrepreneurs establish a professional online presence regardless of their industry or technical knowledge.
Working within an established design system, I adapted layouts, content structure and visual hierarchy to suit each business while maintaining consistency across the platform. This role strengthened my ability to design efficiently at scale, solve a wide variety of usability challenges and communicate visual ideas clearly through responsive interfaces.

UX/UI Designer/Developer
At Lumière, I was responsible for both the design and front-end development of websites for startups and growing businesses. Working from initial concepts through implementation, I translated business requirements into responsive digital experiences using Figma, HTML and CSS.
Because of my hybrid design and development background, I was able to bridge the gap between visual design and implementation, creating interfaces that were not only visually polished but also practical to build and maintain.

Freelancing allowed me to work with clients from a wide range of industries, delivering projects that included branding, websites, UX/UI design, illustration, motion graphics and digital content. Every project presented unique challenges, requiring me to understand each client's goals, manage expectations and develop solutions tailored to their audience.
Beyond strengthening my design skills, freelancing taught me how to communicate ideas, organize projects, adapt to different workflows and take ownership of every stage of the creative process—from the initial conversation to the final delivery.
